I ask: Is the message clear? Does the movement carry it? Does the sound elevate it? Does it spark the right emotion?
Creative Pragmatism. The best idea only matters if it’s finished on time. Balancing creativity with delivery is a skill all on its own.
Designers are my secret weapon (writers, producers, and directors are too). Working with others is truly awesome, and leaning on their skills and input so they can lean on yours is true collaboration. Creativity is a team sport (not as violent as quidditch though). -
Motion Department.
One of my proudest achievements was building a motion department at VIVA Creative. I grew a team of 7 artists, mentored them, and watched two step up as leaders after I moved on. Very proud Papa Bear moment.
Swiss Army Knife.
I am an animator, video editor, audio editor, script writer, storyboarder, camera operator, 3D animator, VFX artist, art director, brand protector, and I make a mean cup of coffee. Understanding the production and post-production process from the inside and out makes for better videos and happier clients.
